Welcome Mrs. Trudy Gebhardt as Our New Athletic Director at Seaside Christian Academy!

We are excited to share amazing news about the future of the athletic program at Seaside Christian Academy. With great enthusiasm, we welcome Mrs. Trudy Gebhardt as our new Athletic Director. Trudy’s arrival marks a pivotal moment that will enhance our school’s commitment to athletics and the core values that unite us.

A Journey of Passion and Service

Trudy’s journey with us began last year as our Lower School Physical Education Instructor. From her first day, she showed a deep passion for nurturing and inspiring young athletes in a Christ-like manner. Trudy has created a supportive environment where every child can thrive and learn the power of teamwork through a biblical approach.

With over 12 years of experience in coaching and sports instruction, she brings substantial expertise and knowledge of youth sports. For 11 years, she worked at the local recreation center, developing a coaching style focused on community spirit, and respect. This hands-on experience has become pivotal in shaping her approach to our athletic programs.

A Multifaceted Background

Trudy’s diverse background in sports highlights her versatility and extensive knowledge in athletic development. She specializes in volleyball, but she also has coaching experience in basketball, track, field hockey, and tennis. This broad expertise allows her to inspire and cultivate various athletic talents among our students.

Foundation of Faith

At the core of her leadership is a strong faith that guides her mentorship and approach to athletics. She believes sports should be about more than competition; they should emphasize creating an inclusive environment rooted in fellowship and God-honoring values.

As a devoted wife and mother of two daughters, Trudy understands the importance of nurturing strong family connections. The lessons she imparts about character, dedication, and hard work will resonate with our athletes and instill core values that extend beyond the playing fields. Her core bible verse to reflect on this year is Isaiah 40: "But those who hope in the Lord will renew thier strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

Building a God-Honoring Sports Culture

Trudy aims to enhance the culture of respect and love already present at Seaside Christian Academy. Her vision for our athletic program is focused on building mentorship relationships, encouraging students to support one another, including opponents, and promoting sportsmanship reflective of our Christian values. The future is very promising for Seaside Athletics!
